According to Barrow (2012) Britain was some time ago a class-ridden civilization. Sociologists describe social class as the category of people by pursuits. The social classes in the UK are divided into three parts, The Upper class, middle class and lower or working class. It is believed that the Upper class are well respected in the UK and all over the world. The Upper classes really look down on the middle and lower or working class.
