Social classes

According to Barrow (2012) Britain was some time ago a class-ridden civilization. At the moment, multiculturalism and a fluctuating budget are progressively corrosive the British class scheme, on the other hand a number of landscape of the scheme still remain. Sociologists describe social class as the category of people by pursuits. The social classes in the UK are divided into three parts, The Upper class, middle class and lower or working class. It is believed that the Upper class are well respected in the UK and all over the world. The Upper classes really look down on the middle and lower or working class.
According to Social forces (1958) it is anticipated that Nigeria, like the other safely established western industrial institutes, will remain to progress in relation to a less variable background will come to be progressively stationed upon native social situations.

The London riot 2011

                  http://www.thejournal.ie/

The riot was all about a police officer who killed a young man identified has Mark Duggan. According to BBC (2011) Duggan was a young man of 29 years and a father to 4 lovely children. He was killed by a police officer in Ferry Lane,Tottenham, north London on a Thursday when he resist to be arrested by the specialist firearm officer. They was no information on why the victim was killed by the police officer.

Firstly, it was a peaceful protect which led to a racial riot. Stores, cars, buildings were vandalised and most people seized the opportunity to plunder around the area. All investigations made by the Investigator for the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) show that two shots were fired by a Scotland Yard CO 19 firearms officer and initial report confirmed a bullet was found lodged in a police officer's radio was a jacketed round. It was also claimed that a shotgun was found close to the victim but there was no evident if it was truly fired by the victim. Haven't said this, I believe there is more to the killing of Mark Duggan by the police officer as the police officer refuse to make a statement to the general public on what really led to the killing of the victim Mark Duggan.

What will affect / is affecting my quality of life at University of Glamorgan

My studying at the University of Glamorgan will be affected by having too much course works, not eating my native meals instead I eat the Welsh or British foods which am not use too. Another area that will affect my studies at the University will be the weather climate, not able to find a part-time job while studying accommodation fees are higher than that of my country Nigeria. Racism is a huge problem that will affect my studying in the University.
I do enjoy the transportation, transportation around the University and cities are always on-time which allows you to reach your destination in good time. The health care service is more preferable to that of my home country Nigeria. Security around the University is excellent not only the University premises but all over the country. The Welsh population is friendlier than those in some other area in Britain. The people of Wales give you a warm welcome and attention far better than other cities across the UK. I love been with the Welsh people and hope to get more acquitted with the culture. It feels more like home and relaxing for me and my studying here will be affected positively.
